Steve Gorney is a technology and cybersecurity professional with more than 25 years of experience helping businesses strengthen their IT infrastructure and security. He currently serves as SE Manager at Coro Cybersecurity, where he works closely with partners and clients to deliver training, technical guidance, and solutions that drive measurable business outcomes. His efforts have helped partners close more deals, grow average deal size, and achieve industry-leading retention rates.

Before joining Coro, Steve held leadership and sales engineering roles across the IT and security landscape. At Duck Creek Technologies, he guided clients through SaaS adoption and growth initiatives, earning high satisfaction and retention results. At US TechSource, he led professional services and cloud migration projects, helping organizations move to platforms like Azure, AWS, and Google Cloud while scaling multimillion-dollar service bookings.

Earlier in his career, Steve worked at VMware, VCE, and McAfee, where he built and managed enterprise solutions and professional services teams. His work consistently exceeded targets and created long-term value for clients. He also spent time at PricewaterhouseCoopers, leading security and networking projects, and at Harris Bank, where he modernized financial IT systems to improve performance and reliability.

Steve’s career reflects a balance of technical expertise, sales leadership, and partner enablement. He is certified in technologies from Splunk, Palo Alto Networks, VMware, and Microsoft, among others, and holds a Bachelor of Science in Information Technology from DePaul University.

Known for mentoring teams and building strong partnerships, Steve combines deep technical knowledge with practical business insight. Based in the Greater Chicago Area, he is passionate about helping organizations navigate the evolving cybersecurity landscape while fostering collaboration and growth.
